Today is Safer Internet Day! If you’re not familiar, this is a day when people and organizations across the world join forces to make the Web a better, safer, kinder place. For nearly two years now, Pear Deck has partnered with Google to bring interactivity to their Be Internet Awesome digital citizenship curriculum. The cause of online safety is near and dear to our hearts, so we couldn’t be more excited to participate in Safer Internet Day.

To start the conversation, we handed over the microphone to six kids at Pear Deck HQ, and asked them about their online knowledge. What is the Internet, and who makes it? Can it be unsafe? What about apps? Their answers were insightful, funny, and gave us a small peek into kids’ online experiences. Take a look at the video!
