Pear Deck is designed for use in schools, and we are committed to the highest standards of protection for student data and personally identifiable information (“PII”) at all times.
Simple business model
Our business model is simple, we have a free product available to all students and educators. We charge individuals, schools, and districts for optional, premium features. We do not offer advertising or in-app promotions within Pear Deck.
We will never sell our user data or attempt to profit on user data.
A safe and compliant platform
We use industry standard security practices, such as SSL encryption.
We use aggregated, anonymized and de-identified data to inform improvements to Pear Deck.

We comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
You own your data
Any content you create is yours to save, share or delete. Your Pear Deck files are automatically saved to the Google Drive associated with your account.
If you ever want to take Pear Deck presentations to another product or school, you can download your materials from Drive to your computer or mobile device.
We don’t own the content you provide — you do.
