Historical Geology: Relative Dating Laws

This deck explains provides practice for the concept relative dating, how the placement of rocks allows us to put them in order from oldest to youngest. The deck focuses on the law of superposition, law of crosscutting, and the law of unconformities with multiple opportunities for students to practice using each law to order rock layers.The deck concludes by introducing index fossils so that students are prepared to practice relative dating and rock correlation after completing this deck.
