Inside Sales Representative
at Pear Deck

Pear Deck was founded in 2014 by teachers who saw technology flooding into classrooms and wanted to make sure it was used to reinforce good teaching and support for teacher-student engagement. Since then, the Pear Deck platform has shown strong adoption across the world, with usage and revenue growing quickly.

Now, we’re looking for help handling our inbound sales inquiries and supporting our outbound sales strategies, so we’re adding an Inside Sales position.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the sales leader and works hand-in-hand with a Partnership Manager within a designated territory. Specifically, this person will be responsible for processing inbound inquiries, prospecting, tracking progress, and helping the team make the most of the territory. For example, here are some activities candidates should expect to do:

  • Communicate the value of Pear Deck clearly and enthusiastically.

  • Qualify inbound inquiries and work with the Regional Partnership Manager to treat them appropriately.

  • Respond to teachers who write to us hoping to make Pear Deck available to their whole school.

  • Coordinate webinars, meetings, and events within your territory.

  • Connect and organize different data sources to build a single comprehensive idea of what is happening in your territory.

  • Identify potential contacts in strategic schools and districts and make initial introductions

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working within a team to accomplish shared goals

  • Professional communication style and comfort speaking on the phone, communicating over email, and other electronic media

  • Strong written communication skills and an ability to communicate with energy and precision

  • Strong relationship-building skills

  • Ability to follow established processes

  • Ability to capture and report progress at regular intervals

  • Familiarity with cloud-based software (we use Google Suite, Intercom & Salesforce)
