Closing Routine: Compass Points
As we return to school this year, Pear Deck has partnered with Facing History and Ourselves to help build community and trust within classrooms, both physical and virtual. With these quick, interactive routines—designed to take five to ten minutes each—educators can foster a sense of belonging and prioritize social-emotional learning every day.
It is important that students have regular opportunities to communicate what’s working and what isn’t so their teachers can help them get the support they need to feel successful. This routine provides a structure for students to give positive feedback about the class, offer ideas to support their learning, and communicate their needs and worries.
